Summer Children’s Coordinator

15 hours per week for 9 – 10 weeks
Rate of pay: $17.20 per hour
Start Date: June 23, 2024

The Whitestone Public Library is seeking a creative and responsible individual to help plan and facilitate the annual TD Summer Reading Club.

Skills Required:

• Leadership
• Organization and planning
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Problem solving
• Ability to multi-task

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research ideas for children’s programming and materials
• Prepare a programming schedule with staff support
• Collect statistics and prepare reports on activities
• Create marketing materials and promote using print, web, and social media
• Work with partner organizations on programming
• Other duties as assigned

Familiarity with children’s and young adult literature an asset.
